On August 17, 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas and Louisiana. Out of this catastrophic storm, a promising relationship between Bobby Richard and Nathaniel Worthen was forged as they worked together to provide security services for FEMA’s Hurricane Response Contract. Driven to raise the bar on the security industry standard, Southern Defense & Security (SDS) was then launched on their combined thirty years of military, law enforcement, and security industry experience.

 

Five years later, SDS has become one of most reliable security companies in the Gulf South while providing more than 3,700 hours of weekly security officer protection which spans from professional business offices to casinos, to retail loss prevention.
